About Death is Everything

The Story

Death Is Everything started in late 2019 when a friend asked Marianne to start a podcast. After bouncing around ideas, they settled on their favorite topic–death. Shortly after deciding on their topic, they recorded their first episode.  A few episodes into 2020, recording became difficult, and the podcast was set aside for a while. In 2021After almost a year, Marianne returned in 2021 to host solo and has brought the podcast back to life with interviews, discussions on death, and collaborations.

The Show

D.I.E. is about all the ways death influences our lives. It is the pain and sorrow we feel missing deceased loved ones and the joy we feel remembering the time we had with them. It is about asking the questions that can be uncomfortable to ask and sharing thoughts on what could be. It is about being in a space where we are all equals, all vulnerable and uncertain about this thing that will happen to all of us. Death Is Everything is just that. Everything.

About Marianne

Host

Marianne Parise was born curious about everything and has never lost her desire to understand the mysterious and unusual things in the world. As a kid she played soccer and softball where she met some of her lifelong friends. In her high school years, Marianne won awards for acting in theater, participated in the marching band, and began learning about theatrical makeup and character creation. Her love of Halloween and special FX makeup led her to attend Makeup Designory in Burbank, CA where she completed the Master Make-up Artistry program. While working in the film industry, Marianne took a variety of side gigs and found her way to bookkeeping.

After many exciting and memorable experiences, Marianne shifted away from doing makeup for work and went back to school. In mid 2020, she completed her Bookkeeping Certificate and is now preparing to transfer to a university so she can finish her bachelor’s degree. She maintains that she will always be a student in one capacity or another, always soaking up life while it’s happening.
